What is a Drum Journey?

A drum journey is a way to communicate with your inner self and retrieve information.

When we listen to a steady beat of a drum our brainwaves shift into a deep relaxed state where we enter into a trance state much like lucid dreaming.

What you provide.

The venue, the advertising, the guests and any refreshments you wish to provide. Optional - mats and blankets

You must ensure the Guests view the Contraindication sheet.

What to expect.

The room is often darkened and cleansed with sage. Everything is in place for a peaceful, relaxing time together. The session begins with a relaxing mediation to ease away the stresses and strains you walked in with and you enter into the here and now.

The drum begins and is played with a scientifically researched method that induces an altered state of consciousness and that takes you to a place between consciousness and sleep. This is where our body does its magic and repairs on a cellular level.

After 30 minutes you are brought back to the here and now with another 10 minutes of sounds of chimes, rain sticks, rattles.

Dependant on whether the session is relaxation based or with a reflection process your guests will either end with a refreshment and chatter or we will move into a reflective practice and discuss the outcome of the issue they wanted to explore at the beginning of the session.

What your Guests may need to provide.

Unless you are providing the mats and blankets then your guests will need to bring their own mats, and then whatever they need to make a cosy bed for themselves. Some people bring a yoga mat, thin mattress, sleeping bag to lie on then you need a top layer such as a quilt or blankets. They need a pillow, eye mask if preferred, and wear loose warm clothing. Some people bring crystals to place upon themselves.
